Estella Brown
Estella Brown attended Bath Academy of Art in the sixties where her painting tutor was Howard Hodgkins.
Estella has always lived in Bridlington, just around the corner from David Hockney's new home. Recently widowed, her husband was the author Geoff Brown. She now lives alone with two rescue dogs and three cats'. When not painting, Estella walks her dogs on the beach she can see from her window which has given her much of her artistic stimulation.
Estella has hardly travelled anywhere that cannot be reached by bicycle but believes that many years of being cut off and just getting on with her painting has been good for her.
Shows include Solo Exhibitions in Bridlington and at the Histon Gallery, Cambridge. She has also put her work in mixed exhibitions in Bridlington, Hull, Leeds and the R.A.S.E. This is her first exhibition outside Yorkshire.
